LUMA

If you’ve ever been frustrated by watching the spinning wheel while your Netflix video buffers, then you’ll understand why this product was invented.

Luma is a startup founded by Dr. Paul Judge and Mike Van Bruinisse. They worked together for 15 years solving complex networking and security problems for some of the world’s largest technology companies. Paul and Mike wanted to use their expertise to bring the home WiFi network into the 21st century. They developed and designed a truly breakthrough product, and they came to Teak to help them launch it to the world.

A BEAUTIFUL PRODUCT DESERVES A BEAUTIFUL BRAND

We partnered with Luma early-on to develop their brand identity, photography, packaging and their website. We drew inspiration for the identity from the simple and beautiful hexagon form factor of the device (which, no surprise, recently won a Best Design award at CES).

A GROUNDBREAKING PRODUCT,
A COMPELLING BRAND STORY

Luma gives you control over your home network like never before– such as giving you insight to who’s on your network, and allowing you to actually see what they’re doing in real time. We partnered with them to craft their brand story, to help differentiate and communicate the clear advantages of the router in the growing category of Wi-Fi devices that are being created to solve some of the problems consumers have with wireless internet in their homes.

“We chose Teak after a review of several potential branding partners. They’ve been a collaborative partner who understood our vision and worked with our team to come up with an innovative and modern design that spoke to our target demographic. Teak not only came up with creative solutions, they did so under very tight deadlines.”
